Uzoamaka Ikpeazu is a versatile Associate with a focus on corporate and commercial litigation and arbitration, maritime and shipping law, as well as civil and criminal litigation.

Uzoamaka obtained her Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B.) from Baze University, Abuja Nigeria and holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Shipping Law from Queen Mary University of London, where she deepened her expertise in maritime law, admiralty law, and global trade frameworks.

  • Key member of the Team that advised a Ship Building Company in respect of a potential arbitration involving a claim of about US$1.2 Billion (One Billion, Two Hundred Million United States Dollars) concerning the construction of the world’s largest floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) in Nigeria.
  • Key member of the Team that provided advisory and regulatory framework compliance to Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals (DPRP) FZE, Dangote Fertiliser Limited (DFL), and Dangote Quays for petroleum refining and processing, fertiliser production, and construction/operation of jetty within Dangote Industry Free Zone.
  • Key member of the Team that successfully defended the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) against a construction company in an arbitration involving a claim of N450,648,766.90 (Four Hundred and Fifty Million, Six Hundred and Forty-Eight Thousand, Seven Hundred and Sixty-Six Naira).
  • Key member of the Team that successfully represented Petrolex Oil & Gas Limited in a winding up action for the sum of $7,536,782.14 (Seven Million, Five Hundred and Thirty-Six Thousand and Eighty-Two United States Dollars and Fourteen Cents), due under a Charterparty for the hire of eight (8) vessels belonging to Petrolex Oil & Gas Limited.
  • Key member of the Team that represented Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC) in action bordering on the alleged non-declaration/under-declaration of crude oil exports into the United States of America (USA).
