Amaka Oditah is an Associate at TEMPLARS with experience in complex cross-border transactions in the energy, infrastructure, and project finance sectors.
Amaka has played a key role in numerous high-value international upstream oil and gas concessions and provided strategic counsel to major international oil companies on the structuring and implementation of upstream operations.
Amaka began her legal career at a market leading firm in London and her multidisciplinary background includes prior experience in management consulting, giving her unique insight into the intersection of law and finance.
Amaka holds a degree in Politics and Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Amaka further obtained a Graduate Diploma in Law from BPP University where she graduated with distinction and subsequently completed the Legal Practice Course at The University of Law with distinction. Amaka is admitted to practise as a solicitor in England and Wales.
Representative Experience
- Advising Anglo American on the development and roll-out of a hydrogen powered “Zero Emissions Haulage Solution” and combination of its nuGen business with First Mode creating 1.5 billion USD in value.
- Providing strategic advice to Chevron in respect of upstream operations in the supergiant Tengiz field in Kazakhstan.
- Advising the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company in relation to its 2024 bid round, including the drafting of all concession documents.
- Advising KwF IPEX Bank in its financing of the largest LNG-to-power project in Latin America.
- Negotiated key fiscal instruments and development objectives letters in relation to the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company’s strategic enhancement of production capacity in the Upper Zakum concession.
