The Fair Justice Initiative (FJI) is a CSR arm of TEMPLARS that contributes towards social development. It was created in Ghana to fight prejudice against current and former inmates, guaranteeing that everyone has access to competent legal counsel and enhancing the conditions of confinement in Ghanaian prisons.

An annual Party is held at Nsawam Female Medium Security Prison by the FJI and last December was no exception as our Partner, Sarah Femi Asante, and Ghanaian musician, Joe Mettle, celebrated with the inmates. There was a lot of dancing and laughter in compliance with the theme of the day, “A Jolly Good time”.

There were also various team-building exercises which aimed to break the stigma and ease the reintegration into society after release.
