Jewel Egelege is an Associate at TEMPLARS, specialising in banking & finance, mergers & acquisitions, capital markets, and projects.
She holds both a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree and Master of Laws (LL.M.) degrees from Babcock University, and later attended the Nigerian Law School, where she was awarded “Best Counsel” during the Annual Moot Trials (2022/2023 Session).
Representative Experience
- Advising a data centre investor on the development and expansion of data center assets across West Africa.
- Advising on a complex investment and restructuring transaction involving the injection of debt and equity capital by a group of foreign investors into an energy company operating in two of Nigeria’s Free Trade Zones.
- Advised a global cryptocurrency platform on the Nigerian regulatory implications of a proposed cross-border roll-out of a crypto-linked prepaid card. The product, licensed in the EU, enables users to spend cryptocurrency converted in real-time to fiat currency at the point of transaction.
- Advising in connection with securing concessions and implementing projects for the provision of digital education-related services across various states in Nigeria.
