Templars is delighted to have been recognized as winners in two categories at the 2019 African Legal Awards held in Johannesburg, South Africa on 6th September, 2019.

The firm won in the following categories and is the only Nigerian firm to win in the transactions categories:

  • Property & Construction Team of the Year
  • Banking, Finance and Restructuring Team of the Year

According to the organizers, the 2019 awards process witnessed over 50 African and International Law firms making the final shortlist.

The Property & Construction Team of the Year award was for our advice on the US$1.34 billion development and financing of the Lekki Deep Sea Port Project while the Banking, Finance and Restructuring Team of the Year award was given for the US$1.2 billion financing for the expansion of Indorama Eleme Fertilizer Plant.
