Templars featured in global Anti-Corruption conference

Partners Olumide Akpata and Inam Wilson are currently attending a conference on Anti-Corruption Compliance in High Risk Markets – hosted by the American Conference Institute and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) – in Washington DC, USA.

The conference, now in its 6th year, is the world’s largest gathering of FCPA compliance professionals, US government regulators and leading anti-corruption lawyers.

Inam Wilson was also a featured speaker in a forum that focused on Customs and Supply Chain Risks: Identifying Red Flags When Working With Agents and Customs Brokers in Nigeria. He spoke about practical ways to prevent and respond to requests for bribes and facilitation payment for licenses and customs paperwork, as well as preparing management for potential delays and working with officials to expedite permits and clearances without paying bribes.
