TEMPLARS has advised UTM FLNG on its Gas Supply Agreement (GSA) with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company and Seplat Energy (NNPC/Seplat JV), a landmark transaction for the development of Nigeria’s first Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) project.
The GSA, a 15-year gas supply arrangement, for the proposed US$3 billion project, is expected to produce approximately 1.8 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas annually.
Under the agreement, the NNPC/Seplat JV will supply 200 million standard cubic feet of gas per day, providing the project’s feedgas.
TEMPLARS, has advised UTM FLNG on the project from inception to date including the gas supply arrangements, project bankability considerations and the operationalisation of the GSA.
Commenting on the transaction, TEMPLARS Managing Partner, Oghogho Akpata, said:
