TEMPLARS has advised a subsidiary of leading Nigerian conglomerate UAC of Nigeria plc (UAC) on its agreement to acquire Chivita | Hollandia (CHI Limited) from The Coca‑Cola Company.

CHI Limited is a leading manufacturer of dairy products, juices, nectars and snacks, with a market leadership position in the evaporated milk, drinking yoghurt and fruit juice segments of the food and beverage sector.

 In a statement issued on 30 July 2025, following the signing of the agreement, UAC noted that the transaction “which is subject to regulatory approval, marks a strategic milestone in UAC’s growth agenda, expanding its presence in Nigeria’s fast-moving consumer goods sector. It supports The Coca-Cola Company’s strategy to operate a flexible and asset-light model and focus on brands that have the greatest potential to scale”.

The TEMPLARS team on the transaction was led by Deputy Managing Partner and Head of the Mergers and Acquisitions Practice, Chike Obianwu who was supported by Managing Counsel, Obianuju Ifebunandu and Associates, Chiamaka Nwangwu, Lawrence Ola-Adisa, Akorede Adelupe, Christiana Ufomba, Godswill Ogbewe, and Nyerhovwo Umukoro.
