Stanley U. Nweke-Eze, Senior Associate at TEMPLARS, recently authored two chapters in the first edition of Global Arbitration Review: The Guide to Investment Treaty Protection and Enforcement.

The first chapter (Initial Stages of a Dispute: The Investor’s Perspective) focuses on the steps that investors should take in determining whether resorting to arbitration against host states is the optimal strategy and, if it is, the essential considerations that investors should bear in mind before commencing arbitration proceedings and how investors can adequately prepare for such proceedings.

The second chapter (Jurisdiction: Main Elements) addresses all aspects of the jurisdiction of an arbitral tribunal, including consent to arbitration as well as subject-matter, personal, territorial and temporal jurisdiction.
