The September edition of the TEMPLARS Transcripts: Energy & Natural Resources Digest captures major policy and project updates in Nigeria and Ghana.

In Nigeria, the government advanced oil and gas reforms with plans to license 220 blocks and approve interim gas tariffs, while fast-tracking power sector investments through Phase Two of the Siemens initiative, new transmission loans, and refinancing of ₦4 trillion in sector debt. Renewable energy expansion also gained traction with a ₦100 billion solarisation plan for public institutions, UNDP-backed clean energy partnerships, and new university solar projects.

In Ghana, the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation and Petroleum Commission signed a revenue-sharing agreement to accelerate exploration in the Voltarian Basin. The country also secured $1 billion in climate financing for renewables, electric vehicle infrastructure, and near-universal electrification, and launched the Green Cooling Project to promote sustainable air conditioning and strengthen its role in the global carbon market.
