Templars’ partners Chike Obianwu and Zelda Akindele were pleased to join our client Lekki Port LFTZ Enterprise at the official flag off ceremony for construction of the approximately US$1.5 billion Lekki Deep Sea Port project on Thursday, 29 March, 2018. The project was flagged off by Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo [with the Minister of Transport and the Minister of Industry, Trade & Investment and other dignitaries in attendance].

On completion, the Lekki Deep Sea Port will be the largest port in Nigeria with the capacity to support a throughput of 2.7 million 20-foot equivalent units of cargo containers annually. The port is expected to serve as a hub for port operations for West Africa.

Templars is proud to be acting as sponsor’s legal counsel on the project which has the Tolaram Group of Singapore, the Lagos State Government and the Nigerian Ports Authority as sponsors.
