Templars hosted an interactive breakfast session on “The Uncertain Future of Labour Outsourcing and Contract Staffing in Nigeria” on Friday 12th July 2019.

The objective of the session was to sensitize corporate Nigeria on the legal and business implications of the current judicial attitude by the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN) towards contract staffing/outsourcing in Nigeria. The discussion focused on

  • Understanding how the judgements of the NICN affect commercial contracts.
  • Understanding the potential impact of the judgements of the NICN on businesses.
  • Exploring ways and means of structuring businesses to mitigate the effect of the judgements of the NICN.

The seminar was well attended by industry experts and market leaders across multiple sectors, who engaged in the much-needed dialogue on such critical industry matter.

The panel discussions and Q&A sessions were led by Inam Wilson, Partner, Templars; Ivie Omasogie-Adigun, Group Head of HR at Sahara Group; Bina Idonije, Senior Counsel, Labour & Employment, Sub-Saharan Africa, GE; and Olumide Solanke, HR Director, Nigerian Bottling Company (A member of the Coca-Cola Hellenic Group).
