Victoria Oloni is an Associate in the Corporate & Commercial and Media, Entertainment, Technology and Intellectual Property (METI) practice.
Victoria graduated with a First Class from the Nigerian Law School and a second-class upper degree (honours) from the University of Ilorin. She is passionate about the digital economy, startup finance, data protection, cybersecurity, and general intersections of technology and law and in furtherance of these interests, she has published several articles and spoken at various conferences and events within and outside Nigeria.
Victoria is a member of several professional bodies, including the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), the Section of Business Law (SBL) of the NBA, the Nigerian Chapter of the International Law Association (ILA-NG) where she currently serves as the general secretary of the Young Members Committee, and the International Association of Privacy Professionals (“IAPP”). She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/ Europe (CIPP/E) with the IAPP and holds certifications in capital markets, corporate finance, cybersecurity, data protection, and data governance.
With experience garnered in tech and digital economy advisory, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate advisory and regulatory compliance, Victoria advises a wide range of clients, including Google, Apple, and other local and international companies within and outside the technology sector. She has advised on a variety of matters, including corporate and regulatory matters, financial technology, global corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions and data protection. Victoria is passionate about using her skills to help clients navigate the ever-changing legal landscape and achieve their business goals.

- Advising Google on Nigerian law-related corporate and regulatory matters.
- Providing fintech advisory to various local and international tech companies, including Apple, on various fintech subsets including mobile money operations, carrier billing, international money transfer and remittance, cryptocurrency, as well as the applicable consumer rights laws and privacy laws.
- Advising Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) on new or potential laws, regulations, or policies affecting its operations in Nigeria.
- Advised General Electric on its global corporate restructuring implemented in connection with its acquisition of the Nexus Controls business from Baker Hughes.
- Advising a renowned e-commerce conglomerate on its proposed business operations across different sectors, including telecommunications.
- Advising various international companies on privacy and data protection compliance in Nigeria
