More importantly, our programmes enable our people to make a positive impact on the lives of the communities where we operate and live.
Our last financial year saw us dedicate over N5 million of time to our pro bono and community programmes.
Our programmes enable our people to make a positive impact on the lives of the communities where we operate and they live around the world.
Pro bono Matters
At Templars, there is a deliberate policy to make legal services available to all. This policy is rooted in our belief that as a law firm, the most useful contribution we can make to the society is to use our knowledge and expertise to make meaningful impact on the lives of the less privileged, the ignorant, by bridging the gap in access to rights, services and justice.
While serving the needs of indigent individuals and not- for-profit organisations with limited or no access to legal services in a wide range of matters, the pro bono experience connects our lawyers to the communities in which we work.
Our commitment to pro bono legal service is deep and longstanding, and we take on a large number of pro bono matters each year. We consistently encourage our lawyers to participate in pro bono activities early in their careers, and we also support our lawyers who volunteer for pro bono work that falls outside of their particular practice areas. All pro bono work that the firm undertakes is handled like any other billable matters, with the dedication of all available firm resources appropriate to the needs of the representation.
Finally, as a law firm we are fully committed to continually striving to broaden legal service in our various host communities. This responsibility and commitment set us apart from our competitors who do not have such programme in place
